Social Responsibility
Social Responsibility is about developing and supporting the mission of the Diocese by working in partnership with parishes, ecumenical partners, voluntary and statutory agencies, and with local communities.
Social Responsibility engages with social and political issues to develop projects and partnerships that address the needs of people and communities across Dorset and Wiltshire, and in the developing world.
Social Responsibility is a direct response to three of the Five Marks of Mission:
-
To respond to human need by loving service
-
To seek to transform unjust structures of society
-
To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the earth
Social Responsibility encompasses many issues and the work is mostly done in local churches. Advice and support is available from
