Face to face safeguarding training is available across the Diocese and is booked online or by phone if you do not have a computer/email - see below for more information. Please note that the E-Learning system is a separate system, and details about that are available on the CO Computer based Training details page opposite

Face to face Training

Confirmation of a place will be immediate and a waiting list system will also be possible for the first time. If you do not have access to the internet, then please speak to your parish administrator, if you have one, or contact:

There are two separate areas of training.

  1. Currently, all clergy and LLMs must do the e-learning course first, before doing C3. Other groups are also welcome to do it. If you are in either of these categories, click here to make a start (NB this is a separate registration and password but I would suggest you use same password and email address for BOTH).
  2. Our main Safeguarding courses are available here. To register, see below.

ORGANISING A COURSE –notifying us and taking bookings

1…. Getting your course registered. We really what to maximise what you do and to make sure that everyone that does receive training is correctly logged as having done so. When we moved to online booking the purpose was not just to assemble a class list but to log this training automatically on our database so that the right Jo Smith for example was identified and that this also linked to the correct DBS record. I also what to save you time so that we only have to log those people who are unable to access a computer, and they can do this by phoning/writing to me. When I designed the system the point was to free up time to ‘speak’ to those that struggle with the technology because we don’t have to manually add everyone!  So then all you need to do is let me know those who attended, and you can tick off the list I can email you-all correctly identified! I am hopeful by Jan 18 that we will have proper printed certificates with full details produced from here and either emailed or posted so that you will not need to do this either!

To this end please see the Course booking form opposite (under Latest Courses) which you can post or email me to me as you wish. In this way everybody knows the course exists including me and it will appear with all the other courses under safeguarding on the website. In this way we maximise the benefit of your course in your area by advertising it and can ensure that everyone’s training is correctly recorded. PLEASE if you have any questions please let me know.   Safeguarding.admin@salisbury.anglican.org
