PSA- Distinctive and Effective Foundation Governance

by Michael Ford last modified 25 May, 2017 02:36 PM
"Your approach has been exactly what we have needed. The way you deliver some 'tricky' guidance in a constructive manner has not gone unnoticed. I personally have felt inspired by your approach" - Foundation Governor, following work with one of our advisers

PSA - Distinctive & Effective Foundation Governance

Explanation of this aspect of our work

The role of foundation governors in supporting and challenging the school to be both distinctive and effective is a crucial one in church school improvement.

Foundation governors are committed volunteers. Our diocesan advisers work with foundation governors in order to support and guide them to being as informed as possible so that their impact on children and young people’s outcomes is maximised. Foundation governors tell us how useful they find this work because it also provides them with an opportunity to benchmark the distinctiveness at their school alongside that in other schools.

Our advisers will plan a bespoke programme to meet the needs of your foundation governors!
