Life in the Gambia
As Jesus hangs on the cross, the people weep and moan,
But as the darkness seems to come, the light of the world is shown
The Cathedral service has now come, Now the instruments begin to strum,
Children's voices ring out clear, What astonishing sounds we hear.
When people die you hear family and friends cry.
They feel lonely and lost in the darkness.
Light a candle, to chase the darkness away.
Get comfort from a tiny golden flame.
Light up your corner of the world
Jesus may your amber light shine, Jesus may I see your flame,
