Deanery Information Officers
There are 19 deaneries within the diocese. A Deanery Information Officer helps co-ordinate and distribute information to, between and from the parishes in their deanery.
Each DIO:
-
Is appointed by Deanery Synod at the first meeting of each new triennium
-
Becomes an officer of the Deanery Standing Committee (Deanery Synod Rule 6)
-
Works as closely as possible with the Rural Dean, Deanery Lay Co-Chairman, Deanery Synod Secretary and Diocesan Communications Team
-
Helps maintain and improve the flow of information between parishes within the Deanery, between the Deanery and the Diocese, and from parishes and Deanery to the Sarum Link and local media
