The e-Bulletin is a weekly update from around the Diocese on Tuesdays. The items below are from its 'Announcements' section.

Two Fond Farewells
Bishop Ed and Archdeacon Paul are leaving us soon. Their respective leaving dates are 15 April and 24 May. If anyone wishes to donate towards a gift towards either or both of them, please send cheques made out to Salisbury DBF - marked on the reverse of the cheque who the gift is for - to Lucinda Herklots at Church House, Salisbury SP1 2QB.

The Funeral Service for the late Revd Beth Brown will take place on Saturday 17 March, 12.30pm at St Mary’s, Bishop’s Cannings. Refreshments will be provided after the Service at Bishop’s Cannings School, to which all are welcome.

Church spires to boost digital connectivity in rural areas
You may have seen something in the press about the Church of England accord with Government to boost Wi-Fi, broadband and mobile access in rural areas. Bear in mind: the accord only provides a sense of direction. Parish Buying hopes to have suitable suppliers by June! There is guidance on the ChurchCare website, here.

Safeguarding: helpline
From 5pm each Thursday to 9am the following Monday, safeguarding advice will be available from the Churches Child Protection Advisory Service (CCPAS) on 0845 120 4550. This is a 24 hour helpline but should only be contacted outside office hours (i.e. Mon-Fri, 9-5) for urgent advice which cannot safely wait until the next working day. Please identify your parish and say you are ringing from the Diocese of Salisbury. More on CCPAS and Child Protection here.

Safeguarding: photography
Our up-to-date Parish Policy for Use of Photographs and Video Recordings is here.

Library Volunteers - Sarum College
Sarum College seeks two teams of two volunteers (ie, four in all) for a three-year project to clean all their pre-1800 books and record their condition and bindings. Interested? More here

Microplastics Toolbox
This new A Rocha International resource equips you to act against microplastics in your local community, whether as an individual, a family, a church or any other group. This contributes to global efforts to fight plastic pollution in the oceans. Get involved!

This month’s Bible Society Bible Club book is Galatians. Paul argues that it is faith in Christ, not observance of the Jewish law that justifies people with God. It is faith, nothing else, which allows us to participate in the dying and rising of Christ into a new way of being, a way marked with true freedom. More here

There is also a Facebook group - Plastic-less Lent 2018 - where you can share your journey, tips, tools etc. with others trying to live more. Join here

Praying With Scripture
Debbie Orriss writes:
The diocesan Lent booklet ‘Praying Together’ is proving, once again, to be a helpful resource as we journey through Lent and towards Easter. To help children, young people and adults continue to build reading the Bible into their prayer lives, we have produced ‘Praying with Scripture’, a portable display of sample Bible reading resources, including online, that fits into an A4 sized box. As recommended by Gillian Clarke!
