Education Services Assistant

The Salisbury Diocesan Board of Education works to serve the needs of 195 schools across Wiltshire, Dorset, Poole and parts of Bournemouth, Hampshire and Devon. Our office is in Wilton, Salisbury and this is where this post is based.
The role has been developed and shaped as the DBE has developed; we have an absolute commitment to providing a strong service and you would be key to this.
We require a high quality and efficient colleague with excellent administration, communication, IT & design skills; team work essential and some leadership required.

The individual we appoint will join our eclectic committed team of staff, who support the Directorship of the Diocesan Board of Education (DBE) and the advisers who work alongside our schools, academies and parishes supporting their needs, to provide an excellent Christian education and life for children and young people.

This role is 35 hours per week, with a full time option or a part time option of 41 weeks per year (including term time).

Salary £23,402 pro-rata as appropriate

If you are successful in being selected for interview, please note the following:

  • The interview date is – 3rd October 2017, 9am
  • The interview will consists of a number of desk top based tasks to test IT and administration skills, as well as an interview. The interview morning will last approximately 3 hours, with all candidates attending at the same time, to complete a ‘round robin’ timetable of tasks.
  • Please bring the following to the interview:
  • Identification – passport or driving licence plus evidence of being a UK citizen
  • Certificates or other evidence of your qualifications
  • Evidence of a piece of design work you were responsible for the concept and execution of
