Cerne Abbas to Milton Abbey
Meet at Cerne Abbas Parish Church (DT2 7JQ) at 10am for a 10.30am start.
Directions: From the parish church, walk north up Abbey Street towards Abbey House. On your right is a Jacobean style arched opening in a wall which leads into the burial ground. Keep to the right hand side and follow the gravel path along the wall on your right. Ahead you will see tall Lime trees and a cobbled path leading down to St Augustine’s well. That is where we will meet.
There will be a tough walk of over 12 miles, including four climbs totalling 400 metres, with corresponding descents. There will be a tea awaiting the pilgrims at Milton Abbey and a Eucharist service to end the day.
Parking: Cerne Abbas only has on-street parking, but there is visitor car-parking at Milton Abbey. Pilgrims may find it best to be dropped off at Cerne Abbas in the morning and picked up at Milton Abbey in the evening.

Please bring water, sandwiches and a small torch. If wet, a service will be held in St Nicholas’ Church, Worth Matravers, at 11am.

Morecombelake to Whitchurch Canonicorum
Meet at Morecombelake Parish Church (DT6 6EA) at 10am for a 10.30am start.
Alternative parking can be found at Felicity’s Farm Shop, which has quite a large car park. People can purchase a take away coffee and food there. Custom would of course be appreciated!! The walk will finish with a 12noon Eucharist at Whitchurch Canonicorum, followed by tea and biscuits.
The route will take the road directly across the A35 to the Ryall road, which wends downwards to Whitchurch. A very easy walk of about 45 minutes (not counting stops). The road is pretty quiet, and easier for talking as people walk. Nice views along the way, too, and a pub in Whitchurch too, as people pass by.
Whitchurch Canonicorum: about St Wite
