Mandy was appointed to the DBE as Assistant Director in 2014 and has 19 years of experience in nursery and primary education across the country prior to this post, This includes ten years as a successful head teacher of a Church of England Primary school within the Diocese of Salisbury. She is currently seconded to the DBF as Head of Growing Faith.
Her current role includes overarching responsibility for the DBE’s work with schools and with church teams in their work with children and young people. Her role encompasses a range of work with key partners such as the Office of the Regional School Commissioner, Ofsted and the Local Authorities, as well as multi academy trusts, alongside the development of the work the children and young people’s team in the community hub work and the growth of opportunities for young people’s spiritual encounter.
Mandy said ‘at the heart of church schools is the spiritual flourishing of children, in the heart of our church communities is the spiritual flourishing of children; church and school leaders have the ability to learn and transform when we journey together, I hope in my role we can help to enable that happen’
