Deaf Awareness

Imagine yourself as a deaf person entering a church for the first time. This course is designed to help clergy and other ministers understand how deaf people experience their journey into the Church and how we can support deaf people with their involvement in the life of the Church. Deaf awareness training and theological issues will be presented from the perspective of a deaf ordained minister in order to help the Church to equip itself for welcoming deaf people for the first time.

Neil Robinson is Assistant Curate for the Benefice of Bemerton Heath and Diocesan Minister with Deaf and Hard of Hearing People.
