Domestic Abuse Awareness

This course is suitable for all those who may come across issues of domestic abuse as part of their day to day role. This includes clergy, Church Safeguarding Officers and pastoral workers

The course explores what domestic abuse is and who is affected. Issues of power and gender are discussed. The course is framed around the legal requirement to report matters of suspected coercion and control. Reporting procedures are examined so that participants have a clear understanding of their role.
