Rural Ministry: Learning from Chaplaincy

Rural parishes usually recognise the role and worth of the church and the priest in the wider community. Those in chaplaincy ministry have long experience of being in a similar situation, and we will explore what might be learnt to give a fresh perspective on mission and ministry in rural contexts.

Paul Burden is the Sarum College Centre Coordinator and Director of Contextual Learning. Andrew Todd is the Sarum College Centre Coordinator and Programme Leader for the MA in Christian Spirituality. He is an expert in contemporary religion and spirituality, an Anglican priest and Franciscan Tertiary.
