“Spirituality is like a bird: If you hold it too closely, it chokes, and if you hold it too loosely, it escapes.” Israel Salanter Lipkin Come and work on your school’s understanding of Spirituality and how it can be developed through the curriculum and the intentional planning of opportunities for spiritual growth.

For attendees to:

• Be confident in the requirements of Ofsted and SIAMS relating to spirituality

• Explore a number of models of spirituality in use in schools nationally

• Understand how to secure a ‘school wide’ understanding of spiritual development and how this can be lived out through Collective Worship, RE and the wider curriculum.

• Have time to review part of the school’s curriculum to provide progressively deeper opportunities for spiritual development

• Feel confident that they know how to develop pupils’ thinking in order that they can be reflective about their own beliefs (religious or otherwise) and know the impact of these on themselves and others

• Be inspired as they work to build pupils’ sense of enjoyment and fascination in learning about themselves, others and the world around them through imaginative and creative learning.
