The Bishop of Sherborne, Dr Graham Kings

The Bishop visited the school on Thursday 25 November and the pupils were keen to quiz him further. Topics included big questions about the nature of God, the existence of evil, the role of religion in today’s society, and suicide.

Dr Kings said, “I’m delighted with this first session. There were so many questions that I simply didn’t have time to answer them all in half an hour. Clearly, these young people are thinking intelligently and have legitimate concerns. This is a testimony to the quality of RE teaching in Gillingham School.”
