The Bishop of Salisbury, Nicholas Holtam, has been invited to chair the Church of England's Committee for the Ministry of and among Deaf and Disabled People.

The invitation came from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York.

Bishop Holtam said, “I am delighted to take up the chair of this committee. God loves all people, whether they suffer a disability or not. It is important therefore that the Church not only preaches this message but acts upon it.”
