He is pictured with his daughter, renowned cellist Felicity Vincent Black, who played a Bach cello suite at the Stoneleigh Residential Home, Wimborne during a celebration tea.

Singers from Wimborne Minster Choir sang a song composed by Dr Vincent, who still attends the Minster each week for Holy Communion, and he received cards from HM The Queen and the Bishop of Salisbury.

The Bishop of Sherborne, Dr Graham Kings, also attended the tea.

He said, "It was a privilege to spend time with someone still so lively and erudite in his hundredth year. His faith is undimmed by the years: if anything, it shines brighter as a result. May we all hope to live so well and for so long!"
