The Bishop of Swindon, Lee Rayfield, is embarking on a cycle ride from John O’Groats to Land’s End to raise money for church leadership training in Uganda.

On Wednesday 16 July his trip brings him close to home, with his route coming through Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Somerset. On this day, Bishop Lee is inviting people from local churches who might be keen cyclists to join him for a little while and to lend his some moral support.

In our diocese, he will be passing through the following parishes:

Oaksey, Eastcourt, Hankerton, Charlton and Malmesbury;

Foxley, Norton, Grittleton, Yatton Keynell, Biddestone and Corsham;

Upper Potley, Westwells, Moor Green, Neston, Atworth and Bradford-on-Avon
