An activities day for children’s and youth workers takes place on Saturday 4 February (9.30am-3pm) at St Nicholas Church Centre, Corfe Mullen.

Workshops will be based on existing successful practice. Topics include ‘Links between schools and parishes’, ‘Families sharing faith’, ‘Story-telling’, ‘Café /tea services’, ‘Dads’ clubs’, ‘Quiet days for children’ and ‘Activities involving all generations’.

The day is open to ordained and lay people of all denominations who are interested in building a church with a mission within their community.

The Bishop of Sherborne, Dr Graham Kings, said: “Children and young people are increasingly at the centre of our mission as a Diocese. We are listening to their perceptions and needs and to the insights and challenges of those who work with them. We are in for an inspiring day.”

The event will be co-hosted with the Methodist Church.
