#OrdinaryActivists, part 3

by Michael Ford last modified 15 Oct, 2021 10:02 PM

One of our School Improvement Advisers, Debbie Heritage, has featured in the Clewer Initiative's national campaign against modern slavery, ahead of Anti-Slavery day on 18th October.

The national charity tweeted, as part of their national campaign:

"We are so excited to hear about the Diocese of Salisbury plans to mark #AntiSlaveryDay on 18th October. They are working with Escape Line to raise awareness of #CountyLines with children across the Diocese."

Debbie says:

"On Anti-Slavery Day itself, we have teamed up with Escapeline, a local charity, to offer virtual seminars on county lines for Y7 - Y11 pupils.

"I am excited that this will enable us to raise the issue of county lines with hundreds of schoolchildren and get them talking about the temptations they face and the danger of getting involved with gangs."

Debbie features on the Clewer website here,

And follows similar mentions for our Diocesan President of Mothers' Union, Rosie Stiven (here),

And Bradford on Avon's Linds Batson (here).
