Bishop Calls for South Sudan Prayers

The Bishop of Salisbury, the Rt Revd Nicholas Holtam, has called for prayers for the South Sudan at this time of political instability.

Bishop Nicholas said:

“For 40 years, the Diocese of Salisbury has shared a link with our brothers and sisters in the Episcopal Church of Sudan based on friendship and informed prayer. Last month, that link was renewed with the wonderful visit of our Sudanese friends to this Diocese to celebrate 4 decades of partnership.

“With reports of political instability emerging from the South Sudan, I am asking people to pray for that country and its people, and to inform themselves of events there as they develop.”
