Wimborne meets Romsey for choral service

by Michael Ford last modified 27 Feb, 2019 01:00 PM

Wimborne Minster boosted their Choral Evensong with a visit from 21 members of the Romsey Singers who came along to sing at the service.

The Romsey Singers, founded in 1968, are a chamber choir with some 40 members from Romsey and the surrounding area. They sing sacred and secular music, both unaccompanied and with instrumentalists, and are conducted by Philip Lawson.

The photo shows the members of the choir at the Minster after the Service with their Musical Director Philip Lawson, (back row top right) and Christopher Dowie, (front row right) who played the Organ for the Sunday evening service and who is the former Organist and Choir Master at the Minster.
