In our multi-parish benefice the PCCs all discuss the same topics, is there a better way of doing things so that there are fewer meetings and it is easier to work together on matters of common interest?

Recent changes to the Church Representation rules allow PCCs to form a Joint Council which can put all the other PCCs into objeyance, and take on all the legal responsibilities of all the smaller PCCs. This allows PCCs to significantly reduce the administrative burdens placed on them individually, as the Joint Council thus created can, by agreement, legally take over all those tasks if desired, including responsibility for finance. This gives parishes the opportunity of reducing the number of parish officers and the workload placed on the incumbent. Advice and guidance can be obtained from the Pastoral Secretary.
