This October, local churches have been celebrating Harvest in colourful and abundant ways.
Sarum College has strong connections to the diocese, and is for all to enjoy. It's situated in the heart of Salisbury Cathedral grounds, and hosts our Mission and Ministry team's office. The diocese also has close relationships with the staff of the college.
Every year on 18 October, people around the world mark Anti-Slavery Day; a campaign set-up to help spread awareness of this heinous crime.
Having won the A Rocha Gold Eco Church Award in 2020, St Mary's Church in Beaminster was inspired by the Archbishop of Canterbury's request that all church buildings should aim to be carbon zero by 2030. So, during the height of the Covid Crisis, the team set about thinking about how to achieve this lofty goal!
God calls each of us by name (Isaiah 43.1), and at the heart of responding to our vocation is to be the unique person that God calls on us to be.
The Ramsbury Area Rural Day was held at Warminster School last Saturday. The day attracted nearly 80 stallholders and members from the Ramsbury area. There was something for everyone who attended, from talks on 'lego church' to creating space for informal reflection. Many left inspired and encouraged for rural mission.

If your church is thinking of restoring its church bells, this one is for you. After five years of planning and fundraising, work has finally started on the Calne St Mary, Clock and Bells. The project costs an estimated £260,000.
Urchfont Church embarked on their mission to re-wild a section if their churchyard as part of the Living Churchyard Project; a community-led response to the issues of loss and biodiversity, habitat and species in Britain’s churchyards.
