The Plaque and 'Poppies' artwork in situ

Teaching Assistant Vicki Hallam says:

"Every year our Year 6 children work on a project to leave a lasting legacy of their time in the school. Last year they took the theme of the commemoration of 100 years since the outbreak of World War 1. They produced a piece of art work entitled 'Poppies.'

"This work was accompanied by an inscribed plate of all the names of all the men from the village that had fallen during The Great War. The art work is mounted permanently in the school hall and was unveiled by Jane Scott OBE, Leader of Wiltshire Council, in the Leavers Assembly on the final day of school in the summer term."
