New Bishop Visits Wilton and Barford

by Michael Ford last modified 29 Aug, 2014 02:50 PM

Pupils at Wilton and Barford Primary School had a special visitor recently, in the shape of the new Bishop of Ramsbury, Dr Edward Condry.

The Bishop dedicated the school’s new classroom and kitchen and, after spending some time in class, he joined the Rector, the Revd Mark Wood, in a short service for the whole school.

He talked about his new role and the children were fascinated both by the bishop’s staff- made with a real ram’s horn- and by his 'friends', two soft toys named Wolfy and Mr Bear!

He also welcomed the 27 pupils who have joined the school this term, presenting each child with a gift from Wilton Parish Church.
