A brief school report from Okeford Fitzpaine. Why not try your own Pen Free Environment Day?

Okeford Gets Creative!

Window Painting at Okeford

'Following on from last term’s 'Values Day', when they explored the school’s core values of Love, Respect, Honesty, Courage and Faith through art, drama and craft, our children (under the watchful eye of school secretary Mrs Spencer-Smith) painted stained glass windows in our entrance porch. The effect on a sunny day is simply stunning!

They carried on learning our core values with a Pen Free Environment Day. The children spent the whole day outdoors, learning about the school’s natural surroundings and making dream catchers, bird feeders and a 5 star bug hotel in the school grounds.

The children used iPads to make notes, record sound or video, art, photography and craft to record their work. No pens or pencils were allowed!
