Pupils 'Hudl' at Wilton & Barford

by Michael Ford last modified 29 Aug, 2014 02:50 PM

Headteacher Jan Nock explains...

Here at Wilton and Barford Primary School we have been lucky enough to be able to take part in this year’s ‘Inspire, Create, Teach’ project, run by the local authority. As part of this we secured funding to use to purchase technology that we didn’t already have in school, for the children to use to support their learning.

After lots of research we took the plunge and purchased ‘hudl’ tablet computers and we haven’t looked back!

Although sometimes overlooked, tablets have a wide range of uses for all ages and abilities in the education setting. Children from across the school have been using the tablets to support their learning in a variety of subjects and contexts and have really engaged with their learning and enjoyed the opportunity to use the new technology in their lessons.

We would like to say thank you to staff at Tesco in Salisbury who were extremely helpful in getting us our tablets at a time when they were in short supply. We look forward to seeing the progress the children make in their learning as a result of having them.
