On 30 April, a sad but warm farewell was given to Bishop Andrew and Rebecca, as they move from Ramsbury to St Albans.
Many people from Wiltshire and Dorset attended farewell Evensong at Salisbury Cathedral to pray for their continuing ministry. There were gifts from each of his deaneries, presented by rural deans, and a thank you from Bishop Karen, as acting Bishop of Salisbury.
Bishop Andrew shared how, when he joined the diocese seven years ago, former Bishop of Salisbury Nicholas Holtham said his only task was to love Wiltshire. “That I have done,” he said tonight. “It has been such a joy and privilege to walk with you.” Fare thee well, Bishop Andrew and thank you for the music!
