House for Duty - Golden Cap

by Michael Ford last modified 25 Jan, 2021 11:01 AM expired

Do you have a pioneering spirit, creative flair and a longing to see what the Spirit might do in this time of change and transition? Do you have a heart for younger pilgrims? Is God calling you to mission and ministry in beautiful West Dorset, and even a bit of East Devon too? We seek a House for Duty Team Vicar in the Golden Cap Benefice Team.

The Diocese of Salisbury

We seek someone with a mission-shaped heart who will help us discover what the next stage of our shared life might look like and who

  • Likes people, especially younger ones at the local schools
  • Will support the vision to re-imagine ministry, growing new alongside the old
  • Will learn with others and so discover, equip and release lay people in ministry
  • Has the organisational skills to enable new initiatives, particularly among tourists
  • Is more concerned about the journey than the destination
  • Who will bring other special gifts that we didn’t think we needed until your arrival!

You will be

  • Joining a growing and enthusiastic team of ordained and lay colleagues who laugh a lot
  • Living on a ‘House for Duty’ basis in the beautiful, small coastal town of Lyme Regis, with all that it and the beautiful surrounding countryside and villages have to offer
  • Involved in the wider life of the benefice but sharing pastoral oversight only of Lyme Regis
