House for Duty Interim Minister (3 Years) - The Chase Benefice, Milton and Blandford Deanery

by lcowley last modified 23 Oct, 2020 11:54 AM

We are looking for a facilitator of change to come and assist us in re-arranging ministry within this predominantly rural benefice and the wider Deanery. The churches of the Chase Benefice occupy a valley in Cranborne Chase running north/south 5 miles to the East of Blandford Forum, in the glorious Dorset countryside. The beautiful Purbeck and Jurassic coast is within half an hour's drive.

House for Duty Interim Minister (3 Years)

We are looking for an Interim Minister who is:

  • A team player, willing to collaborate with colleagues in ministry and mission
  • Someone who enjoys managing change and helping others to manage it too
  • Committed to an evolving church, the flourishing and development of lay ministry and the reshaping of traditional patterns of ministry
  • Happy to be peripatetic, working in a range of parishes
  • Flexible in leading a variety of service styles
  • Good at listening; a pragmatist with pastoral sensitivity

We offer:

  • Part-time administrative support from the Benefice Secretary
  • Support from retired clergy in the parishes and deanery and colleagues keen to make change happen
  • A strong team of laity engaged in mission and worship in their village communities
  • An attractive four bedroomed rectory
