Rural Dean of Alderbury and Team Vicar

by Lynne Archer last modified 08 Jul, 2021 04:03 PM

The Clarendon Team is seeking a new colleague to be responsible for the pastoral oversight of three parishes with a large ministry team as colleagues.

The Diocese of Salisbury

As Team Vicar living in Alderbury, five miles south-east of Salisbury, you will have responsibility to serve and ‘walk with’ the parishes of Alderbury, West Dean with East Grimstead and West Grimstead, set in beautiful Wiltshire-Hampshire border countryside.

As Rural Dean of Alderbury you will work with the Bishop, Archdeacon and Assistant Rural Dean, in shaping the future mission and ministry across the deanery, covering the rural parishes around the eastern side of Salisbury.

There will be much freedom to lead the development and implementation of a local ministry strategy for the Alderbury Deanery. The appointment is for an initial period of five years to be reviewed at the end of year four, so as to align with the diocesan timeframe.
