Are you passionate about the rural Church and eager to support, encourage and develop rural ministry and mission? Our current Sherborne Rural Field Officer is moving on and we are looking for a dynamic replacement who feels called to this pioneering role.

Renewing Hope Through Rural Ministry and Mission

We are looking for someone who is:
• Enthusiastic with a collaborative style of leadership who enjoys working with volunteers.
• Willing to engage and encourage those of all levels of faith and experience of the Christian life.
• Creative and proactive with the ability to work with clergy and local church leaders to develop new forms of worship.
• Warm and open to working in a variety of contexts, with a care for people, heart for community and commitment to making Christ known.
• Resident in (or close to) the Sherborne archdeaconry area (West Dorset).

This role would be an excellent way to develop your existing ministry (ordained or lay) and hence we are keen to be as flexible as possible. So, if you could commit anywhere from 7 to 17.5 hours per week, we’d like to hear from you. Salary will be a pro rata of £30,562 p.a.
