The Council of Unity High School, Khartoum, seeks a suitably qualified and experienced teaching professional as its new Principal, commencing 1st August 2021.

Salary negotiable + benefits package

Unity High School is a recognised international school located in the heart of Khartoum,
Sudan. The school can trace back its origins to 1902.

Today, Unity High School continues the long and honourable tradition of providing excellence in educational achievement and fostering strong values and rounded personal development, now as a co-educational through day school providing education for approximately 750
students from the age of 2 years to 17 years. The school welcomes children and families of all nationalities and religions and promotes harmony and understanding between all faiths.

The school is organised into 3 sections; Early Years, Primary and Secondary. The Early Years and Primary pupils follow an adapted English National Curriculum culminating in Year 6 with pupils sitting for the Cambridge Assessment International Education Upper Primary Checkpoint. In Key Stage 3 students work towards the Lower Secondary Checkpoint and then for the Cambridge IGCSEs. There are also a small number of students who study for AS level qualifications.

Unity High School is a non-profit making organisation and is governed by a School Council composed of representatives from across the different Christian communities in Khartoum. The School Council is Chaired by the Bishop of Khartoum (Episcopal Church of Sudan).

The vacancy arises because our current Principal, Mrs Fiona Beevers is retiring at the end of the academic year.

Please note that it is school policy not to employ anyone above the age of 65 years.
