Working with partners

Our diocese is strengthened by its many local, national and international partnerships. We have many friends in our diocese, both near and far.

Our closest international relationships are with the Diocese of Sudan and South Sudan, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Latvia, and with the Diocese of Évreux in France.

Sarum College

In relation to the Diocese of Salisbury, Sarum College plays a significant role in the initial training of both Licensed Lay Ministry (LLM) and those training for ordained ministry.

Churches Together (ecumenical work)

The Christian Church is a fellowship of many churches, which exist in different countries and in different communities, and which are governed by different laws and customs. This variety should be considered not as a disadvantage but as a source of great riches on account of which the Church is strengthened and multiplied.

Inter Faith Network (inter-religious affairs)

As a diocese, we work to build relationships among Christians and people of other faiths, encouraging all to learn more about the teaching and practice of other religions.

Evreux

The diocese has been twinned with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Évreux since 1987. The link provides opportunities for parishes and individuals in the Diocese of Salisbury to link with those in Évreux. There are already links between parishes in the two Dioceses, with highly successful exchanges in both directions. There are yearly diocesan visits to study various pastoral and other issues so that we can learn from each other.
