Archbishop Justin's mission: A run-down of events all are welcome to attend

The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby is coming to encourage and support people across the Diocese of Salisbury from 9 – 11 June. Here is everything you need to know: 

Archbishop Justin wants to meet with and listen to those who do not often attend church, as well as support volunteers and our communities. 

All are welcome in a Celebratory service in the Cathedral Close, SP1 2EJ on Sunday 11 June, 3.30 - 5. 

Please do invite your local community to this event and those who may be interested in hearing a message about faith in Jesus Christ. Please feel free to join in person or via Youtube live stream. 

Alongside Archbishop Justin will be a number of College of Evangelists who will partake in events across the diocese. They will lead services and training events in support of the Archbishop’s mission and coordinating with the diocese in to making Jesus Christ known. 

College of Evangelists Events

Saturday 10 June

St. Gregory’s Church, Dorset, will be hosting a free ‘Growing Faith with Children and Families’ event with speaker Lucy Moore at 12 pm. As the current Head of the ‘Growing Faith Foundation’, and founder of Messy Church seventeen years ago. 

St John’s, Pewsey, are putting on their own creative workshop “for those locals interested in sharing and growing faith with busy active families”. This runs from 10 am - 2 pm, and will be led by Tom Price from the Archbishop's College of Evangelists. There will be provision for children to be looked after, but this event is focused on adults interested in sharing and growing their own faith. 

In his mission-led weekend, the Archbishop will also spend time with members of the armed forces at Lyneham in Wiltshire, with school children in Dorset, members of the Gypsy and Traveller community in Poole and Prisoners at Erlestoke.
