A joyous Dorset clergy and LLM day

On Wednesday 12 July, clergy and LLMs from across Dorset gathered in an amazing day!

The day was filled with fun and well-being activities as a thank you to clergy and LLMs in Dorset for all the work they put into our parishes. This included; magic and comedy from Steve Legg, as well as his testimony and his trust in God, a drumming workshop from Drumbus and poems and music from Revd Ruth and Nick Wells.

Steve Legg is an evangelist, comedian and magician and shared his touching testimony of coming to faith through the boys brigade and the connections with them years later. Steve encouraged the clergy to feel ignited in mission and to use their networks to continuing in spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.

During the afternoon, the space for conversation and engagement was held in many different ways, this included talks on Wildlife and Churchyards, a reflection and craft room and a drumming workshop. The drumming workshop encouraged clergy members to embrace their musical side but most importantly have fun!

There was lots of time to chat, connect and encourage with other local leads.

Bishop Karen who lead the organisation of the day said: “the day was really joyful and really fun… and it was wonderful just meeting and being together”.
