Cycle of Prayer: 11-17 March

Reading this week's prayers on social media is Berno Vierbergen. As the Anglican team's Youth Minister in Swanage, Berno works with young people through the The Wave Youth & Children's Ministry (The Wave) as part of an ecumenical team. The team includes the Baptist Youth Minister and Schools Worker employed by The Wave. Berno manages the Christian Unions for two local secondary schools, runs clubs and engages in strategic planning to develop youth work in Swanage. Alongside youth work Berno also does filmmaking and enjoys living in the countryside with his wife and two children.

Heavenly Father

Thank you for Branksome St Aldhelm, Poole and North Bournemouth Deanery and its Clergy: Pip Martin, Robyn Golden-Hann, Mark Santer, Belinda Marflitt. We pray for  Licensed Lay Minister: Rona Orme and Lay Pioneer: Beatriz Brooks. 

Thank you for all those remember for St Aldhelm's, Branksome, today in their prayers – we remember the ministry of the whole Chruch and pray that whatever our varied needs and challenges, may we all be united in Christ, and persistent in prayer. 

We pray for all the pupils, families and staff of Bishop Aldhelm's Church of England Primary School.

Lord God, 

We pray your blessings upon Branksome St Clement and its Clergy: Lerys Campbell, Lynn Bowerman, Licensed Lay Minister with Permission to Officiate: John Fisher. We pray for all clergy and all those that contribute time and resources to the benefice.

God of all 

We pray today for Broadstone and its Clergy: Helen Bailey, Paul Renyard and Patrick Hastings. We pray that outreach in the community will continue and in particular that Muddy Church continues to grow from strength-to-strength. We pray your blessing on the free 'warm spaces' events: the monthly Craft and Chat group, attracting all sorts of people from the community, and the weekly Holy Grounds coffee morning, offering free drinks to all. In our prayers for the Episcopal Churches in South Sudan and Sudan: we pray for the The Most Revd Moses Anur Ayom, Archbishop of Jonglei & Bishop of Bor in South Sudan.

Creator God 

We pray your blessing today upon Canford Cliffs and Sandbanks and its Clergy: Andrew O’Brien and Pam Wise. We give thanks for the Coffee Morning which supports and encourages contact with the local community.

15 March

Lord, We thank you for Ensbury Park and its Clergy: Simon Evans, David Wheeler, Margaret Evans. We remember in prayer Lay Worship Leader: Ed Foster. We thank you for the continuing and growing outreach through the Welcome Spaces project two days a week. 

We pray for those who come to the church struggling with mental health issues. We pray too for our partnership with neighbouring parishes in offering discipleship resources to those seeking to explore or deepen their faith.

Abba Father,

We pray for Hamworthy and its Clergy: Tessa Nisbet, Ashley Ross and Licensed Lay Ministers: Viv Robertson and Jenny Baldock. We pray for all those running and attending the Alpha and Youth Course. We pray for those attending the pilot Money Coaching Course, that it may help them to flourish.

On today, Passion Sunday 

We thank you for Heatherlands St John, and its Clergy: David Price. 

We praise God for the encouraging growth of families work at St John's in recent months, the 'God's Big Story' Lent course and good progress to date with work on rebuilding the Church of the Good Shepherd We pray that in a world where so much else is uncertain we may turn to you, in trust and faithfulness. We thank you for the faithful service and witness of some of those who have recently died and we pray for the successful recruitment of a new minister for the Church of the Good Shepherd.
