Reading this week's prayers is Lucy Pitman, Lucy is a part time English teacher, St Peter's Shaftesbury Dreamscheme leader, wife to Chris and mum to four marvellous children. She love's netball, reading and baking cakes (and eating them!)

22 January

Lord God, 

Thank you for those who minister in Gillingham, Milton on Stour and Silton, in the Blackmore Vale Deanery We pray for Clergy: Tim Heaton, Angus Mayhew and Licensed Lay Minister: Barbara Priest. We pray for a revival of lay ministry and service in our parishes during  a vacancy, and we give thanks to God for all those  working very hard to help keep the show on the road and to make Jesus known across the benefice. We raise to you the staff and students of Milton-on-Stour CE VA Primary School And Gillingham  St Mary the Virgin CE VA School

In our prayers today Lord, we raise to you HMP Guy's Marsh We pray for all who work hard to make each day as calm as possible. For all the residents, staff, volunteers, that they may all find ways to help and support each other. Lord Jesus, may your healing grace and presence transform all who live and work in this place.

Abba Father, 

We pray for your blessing on The Dean of Guernsey The Very Revd Tim Barker. We pray for Tim in his ministry across the Bailiwick of Guernsey,  for wisdom in decisions about priorities and making best use of opportunities for Making Jesus Known. In our prayers for Episcopal Churches in South Sudan and Sudan: we pray for the Rt Revd Joseph Maker Atot, Bishop of Pacong in South Sudan.

As we reflect today upon the Conversion of Paul We pray for Alderney, in Guernsey Deanery for a good response to the advertisement for the next Vicar of Alderney. We give thanks for the locum priests who are sustaining the ministry of word and sacrament in Alderney.

Our Lord and our God, 

We ask for your blessing upon St Matthew, Cobo, Guernsey Deanery and its Clergy: Gill Nobes amd Jim Sykes. We pray for your guidance in the review and revision of the parish mission action plan in 2024 as we look at how we may make Jesus known in the Parish in the year ahead.

God of all

Thank you for Forest, Guernsey Deanery and its Clergy: Claire Claxton and Licensed Lay Minister: Margaret Boden-Heaume. We thank God for the 'Churchyard for nature' project and the positive impact this  has had on the environment. We pray for those who have dementia as we explore ways of making our worship more user-friendly and offering support where needed. We pray for guidance as we seek to improve the church social area. We pray for the staff, children and parents at Forest Primary School and Le Rondin School & Centre

Holy God, 

On today, the Fourth Sunday of Epiphany We pray for St Andrew, Guernsey Deanery and its Clergy: Tim Barker as we seek to develop the facilities in the parish church, to enable a better welcome to the whole community. In our Anglican Cycle of Prayer: we pray for The Anglican Church of Southern Africa
