Cycle of Prayer 28 August- 3 September

This week's prayers are read by Jenny Nelson. Jenny is the Assistant Curate in the Three Valleys Benefice, Dorset. Jenny trained at Sarum College, specialising on the rural pathway with Dr Jill Hopkinson, and she was ordained Deacon in 2021 and Priest in 2022, at Salisbury Cathedral. Prior to training for ministry, her work was focused on educational leadership and music. Jenny currently serves also on the Sudans Link Partnership Committee. In her spare time she loves cooking with family, paddling at the Dorset coast, painting, gardening and walking.

28 August

Lord God, 

We pray for Creekmoor, Poole & North Bournemouth Deanery Clergy: Janice Audibert, Jean Audibert, Dan Washbrook. Licenced Lay Minister: Shirley Williams. 

We pray for Christ Church to continue in growing disciples of all ages to love and to serve Jesus. 

We pray for the outreach into the community through ‘hub café’ and the many activities that happen in the building each day. 

We also pray over the finances and ask that you Lord will bless and provide the church in its building loan.

Heavenly Father, 

Thank you for Kinson & West Howe, Poole & North Bournemouth and its Clergy: Lee Shirvill, Christine Brooks, Elaine Galliott. We pray you will bless them and place your peace upon them in all they do in your name

30 August

Lord Jesus, 

We pray today for Longfleet, Poole & North Bournemouth Deanery Clergy: Andy Perry, Mark Hay. For Licenced Lay Ministers: Homfray Vines, Desmond Joyce. 

 We ask for your blessing on those who attended Christian festivals over the summer and for deep replenishment for everyone who has been on holiday. 

We pray for the Kids’ and Youth ministries gearing up for another term, and local teachers and schools preparing for a new academic year, particularly Poole Longfleet CE VC Primary School 

In our prayers for Episcopal Churches in South Sudan and Sudan: we pray for the Rt Revd Peter Joh Abraham Mayom, Bishop of Malek in South Sudan.

Gracious God, 

Today we lift to you Parkstone St Luke, Poole & North Bournemouth Deanery We pray for the Revd Stuart Cocksedge who will be licensed as priest in charge in September. We pray that he and his family would settle in well to the parish and find times of refreshment and peace before his licensing.

1 September

Lord today in our prayers we raise to you 

Parkstone St Peter & St Osmund with Branksea St Mary, Poole and North Bournemouth Deanery Clergy: Mike Trotman, Sally Bedborough, Michael Beesley, Keith Hugo, Diana Newman, Pat Southgate, Hilary Wright. 

We pray for the clergy to be blessed with health, happiness and peace in your name Father. 

We give thanks for the Breakfast Worship service and the wonderful opportunities to engage with lots of young families and children, may this continue to thrive in fruitfulness in your name God. 

We pray for the staff and students who attend Poole Baden Powell and St Peter's CE VC Junior School.

2 September

Lord Jesus today we pray for Poole St James with St Paul, Poole and North Bournemouth Deanery Clergy: Lucy Holt, Tony Oehring, Jeff Adams, Bryony Morrison, Roger Green. For Licenced lay ministers: Eva Wallace-Hadrill and Carole Goddard. 

We give thanks for shoots of new life in work with families. We pray that these may continue to grow and bear much fruit in the coming months.

3 September

On the Thirteenth Sunday after Trinity 

Lord God we pray for Talbot Village, Poole and North Bournemouth Deanery 

As the time vacancy comes to an end, we give thanks for all those who have supported the church during this time. We pray for Revd Nick Wells and his family as they settle into the parish and we pray for God’s blessing on his ministry as he in licensed on 14 Sept. 

We also pray for Talbot Village St Mark's CE VA Primary School 

And in our Anglican Cycle of Prayer: Please pray for The Church of the Province of the Indian Ocean.
