Lord God, 

We raise to you today, Lytchetts and Upton, Poole and North Bournemouth and its Clergy: Matt Simpton, Stephen Partridge, Michelle Cobley. We pray too for Licenced Lay Ministers: Dave Parker, Mark Rathbone. 

We pray for the ministry team as it grows- for new curate Michelle, new Licenced Lay Minister Mark and new Licenced Worship Leader Lexi. 

We pray to you God about the vision this autumn for congregations to be inspired to serve you better in this place.

5 September

Loving God, 

In our prayers today, we pray for Poole Missional Communities, Poole and North Bournemouth: For clergy Paul Bradbury, Sally Taylor, John Good, Lucy Bolster. We pray too for Head of the CIC Courage to Thrive: Emily Bradbury.  for Finance officer: Phil James: and for Admin and communication officer: Naomi Whayman. 

We pray for those attending the Ember course and CMS pioneer certificate in Autumn that they will encounter your love, presence and peace.  We ask for your blessing on the Reconnect Missional Community as they go on a leadership away day. We pray for your guidance for Sally as she takes on a new diocesan post and  for John as the new YMCA chaplain. 

Lord continue to strengthen Emily and the team, embedding the work of the Poverty Truth Commission across BCP. 

Amen.

God of all, 

Thank you for Canford Heath, Poole and North Bournemouth and its Clergy: Matt Williams. 

We pray for those preparing for confirmation in October; that the church will continue to support and resources new Christians to grow in faith. 

Thank you God, for the children in our local primary schools and the connections the church holds with them. In particular we pray for Canford Heath Infants and Juniors, Ad Astra Infants, and Haymoor Junior School.

Heavenly Father, 

Today in our prayers we thank you for Oakdale St George, Poole and North Bournemouth and its clergy: Penny Draper, Tom Lock, John Graves. We pray for Licenced Lay Minister: Pam Clark and and Licenced Worship Leader: Sue Bursey. 

We give thanks for the growth in numbers recently. We pray for the return of Messy Church on 18 September and for its outreach to the elderly. 

We remember to the licencing as Bishop’s Chaplain of Rev Sarah Wood Roe in the Cathedral this evening. As she embarks on her new ministry, we pray for your blessings upon her and her family.

Lord today we pray for, 

Poole Hospital and the University Hospitals Dorset, and Forest Holme Hospice. 

We pray for the chaplains based at Poole Hospital: James Taylor and Brian Purchase, and their colleagues across the sites of the University Hospitals Dorset Foundation Trust. 

We pray that chaplains and chaplaincy volunteers would be continually given courage, wisdom, and the capacity to ‘meet people where they are’ in their daily pastoral work.

Lord Jesus, 

We thank you for and raise to you the students of Bournemouth University/arts university 

For the lead Chaplain:  Rev Ruth Wells, who is supported by a multi-faith team. 

We pray for staff and students of both universities as they prepare for the new academic year – a time which can be exciting but also overwhelming! We pray for those moving to university for the first time, we pray that you will bring your peace to any anxieties they may have. 

We also pray for the multi-faith team as they seek to support staff and students, of all faiths and those with no belief to flourish. Thank you God for the inspiration and work behind soup-er Mondays, Global café and Friday Circle weekly events, may they show your love to those who attend.

10 September

God, 

We pray today for The Archdeacon of Sarum The Ven Alan Jeans. We pray you continue to direct him according to your will and we pray for your peace upon him . 

We especially pray for today all those returning to our schools, colleges and universities, whether as students, staff, or governors. 

We pray also for those starting new jobs, and those who continue to seek new employment. May God bless us all in living our lives for his plan.
