Salisbury's Got Talent: 24 hours non-stop gaming

Taking up the challenge set by Bishop Stephen at his inauguration address to use our talents to bless others the Revd Matt Renyard, Curate of Radipole and Melcombe Regis, Weymouth, recently undertook a 24-hour gaming marathon. He was raising money, and sharing the love of God at the same time.


Salisbury's Got Talent: A Sudan Link special

A group of three churches in Bradford Deanery, called Faith in our Village, has raised £680 for Kadugli Diocese in Sudan, after the Revd Andrew Evans made use of his £10 talent from Bishop Stephen's Inauguration.


Welcoming the Sudans to the diocese

Over 40 Sudanese bishops and their spouses were welcomed to Salisbury yesterday (8 August), to begin their week being hosted in the diocese. Under the glorious sunshine, new friendships were made, old friendships reunited, and there was a sense of celebration as the 50-year strong partnership was marked.

A Rural Experience to Remember

Each year, Rural Hope provides young people (18-30 years) with an opportunity to experience rural ministry in all its variety through a rural version of the Ministry Experience Scheme. Over the past year, Bethany Kinderman, has been spending time with the teams in Devizes and Wellsprings as she explores her call to ministry.


A better understanding of Caring for God’s Creation?

This autumn we are running a course for Eco Champions in the diocese designed to equip and encourage ministry in the local church and community. This course will resource and inspire participants to help their church on a journey towards greater care and concern for God’s wonderful creation.


Might God be calling you to Licensed Lay Ministry?

On Saturday 17 September four new lay ministers will be licensed in Salisbury Cathedral by Bishop Karen as Warden of Readers, and many more will renew their promises, as they do each year in a service that celebrates this essential ministry.


#SalisburysGotTalent: Challenge the whole school

Dan Hunwick, Headteacher of Puddletown First School, was present at the inauguration of Bishop Stephen, meaning he was gifted £10 as part of #SalisburysGotTalent. In fact, he got his whole school to join with him in multiplying his talent.


Farnborough Hill Senior School choir visit Wimborne Minster

Sunday 10 July saw a visiting choir sing at the services in Wimborne Minster.
