Nomination Committee Member (Volunteer)

Are you able to help recruit new voices to shape the future of the Church of England in Wiltshire and Dorset?
The Diocese of Salisbury has established a new nominations committee to ensure better practice in the way we select people to join our key committees and other bodies.  We recognise and embrace the need to bring new perspectives and a greater degree of diversity to these bodies.
Through the nominations committee, we are committed to identifying candidates who, in addition to a strong commitment to the Christian faith, have the right skills and experience and who will enrich our organisation and make it more representative of the communities we serve.
This is a challenging remit and, to help us achieve it, we are seeking a suitable person to join the nominations committee. This person should have relevant experience of matching candidates to significant roles and of promoting diversity.

Role Description and Volunteer Agreement:

Our terms of reference require nomination committee members to live in Salisbury Diocese and to be communicant members of the Church, worshipping regularly.
Description of the duties required in this role: Role Description. Read our volunteer agreement.
If this describes you and you feel called to give of your time and talents in this cause, please contact us for a further discussion about the role.  We want to encourage applications from a diverse group of people. Even if you have never thought about volunteering with us before, if you have the skills and experience we’re looking for then we would like to hear from you. If there is anything we can do to support you in your application please get in touch: hradmin@salisbury.anglican.org
