Changes for DBS checks for PCC members

As we are moving to the new systems we have reviewed our current processes and there will be some changes in levels of checks advised for some roles. With updated guidance we are now advising that all PCC members are required to complete a DBS check to the level of Enhanced Child and Adult (but without barred lists).

Young people flock to Salisbury church initiative

A powerful new cross-church initiative is capturing the hearts of young people across Salisbury, with three churches from different denominations uniting to run Youth Alpha Salisbury for young people aged 10-18 where they can explore life’s big questions, develop leadership skills and build lasting community.

Commissioned to serve, our new Licensed Lay Ministers

Last Saturday 27 September, six new licensed lay ministers were admitted to serve across the diocese by the Bishop of Sherborne in a special service at Salisbury Cathedral. Please pray for them as they begin their new ministry. They were joined by others in licensed lay ministry to celebrate.
