In May and June the Diocesan Vocations Coordinator, Revd Louise Ellis, and the Diocesan Lay Ministry Development officer Canon, Karen Hutchinson, will be hosting 3 sessions for anyone who would like to find out more about a variety of Lay and ordained vocations within the church. All session are on zoom. Come and explore how God might be calling you and find out more about a breadth of ministries. You can come to any or all of the sessions. 


Clergy from Harnham, Blackmore Vale and Parkstone to be non-residentiary canons

During Evensong on Thursday 4 May, three non-residentiary canons will be installed into the College of Canons at the same service, at the invitation of the Right Revd Stephen Lake, Bishop of Salisbury.

Exciting new project for clergy and parishes to work with the Mothers’ Union 

After a Mothers’ Union Re-imagining Conference in Liverpool last year one of the three actions taken away by the Mothers’ Union Diocese of Salisbury was to improve the visibility and understanding of Mothers’ Union within the Church and to achieve a more effective functioning of Mothers’ Union as a recognised part of the shared mission of the local church. 


Update on the conflict in our link diocese of Sudan

Last weekend saw clergy from the Diocese of Salisbury, amongst many others at a large, peaceful, climate protest in London. Parliament Square was filled with people who want the government to do more to address the clima.


The Friends of Salisbury Cathedral - Secret Gardens of the Close

There will be nine gardens open around Salisbury Cathedral Close, showcasing a host of beautiful flowers, shrubs and trees. These are private gardens, so this is a rare opportunity to step beyond the garden gate, said Friends’ Chairman, Duncan Glass.
