We are prayerfully seeking both a new Rector and a House-for-Duty Team Vicar to work and walk with us through the eight neighbouring villages of the Upper Wylye Valley, in Wiltshire.
We can offer you:
● Welcoming, active communities with a supportive team that includes an experienced associate priest, two Licensed Lay Ministers and other commissioned ministries.
● Significant administrative support from a part-time Team Administrator
● A modern, four-bedroom clergy house in a pleasant village location.
● Life in an area of outstanding natural beauty, but within easy reach of the cities of Salisbury and Bath, and good local primary and secondary schools.
We would like our Rector and Team Vicar to:
● Encourage and help us to grow in the love of God and to deepen our faith and Christian life.
● Enable us to work together across the benefice to sustain and develop our existing ministries.
● Have some understanding of the joys and challenges of a multi-parish rural benefice.
● Be willing to actively develop our existing good links with our three Church Primary schools.
● Enjoy being part of the wider social life of our villages and help and encourage us to be a visible presence of God’s love in the Upper Wylye Valley.
Contact the Archdeacon of Sarum on 01722 438662 if you would like an informal conversation about the post.
