In the heart of the Cranborne Chase AONB, mid way between Salisbury and Blandford Forum, Sixpenny Handley is a vibrant community linked with four smaller villages.
We seek a priest who has a passion for rural ministry, is comfortable with a range of worship styles and who enjoys being part of village life.
This area of Milton and Blandford deanery is currently undergoing pastoral reorganisation, so the job also entails bringing all five communities together into one benefice. You will need skills in collaborative leadership to work with lay and clergy colleagues and help facilitate change. We have realistic expectations of the Sunday plus three days commitment.
We are enthusiastic, ‘can-do’ people who long to work with a new priest in bringing more people to know the love and fullness of life in Jesus Christ. The eco-friendly vicarage is adjacent to St Mary’s Church in the heart of Sixpenny Handley.
