Priest in Charge of St Martin's, Salisbury and St Peter's, Devizes

The Diocese of Salisbury and The Bishop of Oswestry are seeking to appoint an Interim Priest in Charge to lead this new affinity grouping of two churches of long-standing Anglo-Catholic tradition, which have both passed a Resolution under the House of Bishops’ Declaration on the Ministry of Bishops and Priests, who will lead us in the next stages of our journey.

We are:

  • keen to look to the future and to support our new Priest as together we develop this new way of working
  • deeply committed, sacramental and prayerful

We hope to appoint a Priest who:

  • has a deep personal spirituality and is liturgically confident
  • will be devoted to traditional pastoral and teaching work
  • is self-confident in mission
  • is approachable, warm and friendly
  • who will be a visible presence in our communities
