Rector of St John and St Mary Devizes

We are a single parish benefice in the centre of this historic Wiltshire market town, seeking a forward-looking and creative parish priest. We hope our new rector will lead us in shaping a vision for the future, with purposeful discipleship and deep spirituality. We are a eucharistic, open and inclusive community.

We are looking for an enthusiastic priest with a pastoral heart, who will:

•   Embrace the diversity of the traditions we enjoy.
•   Deepen and enhance our spiritual life.
•   Uphold our strong choral and music tradition.
•   Lead us in mission to the town centre and wider community.

We offer:

•   A welcoming, open minded and hospitable congregation.
•   A spacious, modern rectory with a detached study/meeting room, garage and parking.
•   Two outstanding historic churches with substantial charitable funding for the upkeep of both buildings.
•   A newly installed pipe organ to support our musical heritage.

This is a Lord Chancellor’s appointment and will require an enhanced DBS check
